Miss Hershey McJones said... But what exactly does it do? October 13, 2008 5:10 PM

I will give you the full scope of what SodaHead is all about.

For all of you searching for cool widgets for your blogs that update automatically, then please check out This is like a open bar for Blogger Widgets.

Poll Answers

If you don't know what a widget is, you better Google the word then, but to save you from the overloaded world of Google I will quickly break down what a widget is. I am here of course to educate you people right.

A widget is a embeddable chunk of code. I hope that majority of you already have a online social profile like a Myspace or Facebook. So when someone says widget, think of your Youtube Player on your Myspace page, or take a look to the left side of my blog and see the ThisNext flash bag showing products that I like. Every stand alone embeddable chunk of code is pretty much a widget.

Wiki describes a widget as a "portable chunk of code that can be installed and executed within any separate HTML-based web page by an end user without requiring additional compilation. They are derived from the idea of code reuse. Other terms used to describe web widgets include: gadget, badge, module, webjit, capsule, snippet, mini and flake. Web widgets often but not always use DHTML, JavaScript, or Adobe Flash." (Source)

So what in the hell is SodaHead is a Question and Answers social community that lets you ask questions of your friends, the community or strangers. Your profile will track every answer you provide, leading to the largest profile on the Internet, without ever having to touch the usual registration fields. They offer a Question and Answers widget that can be embedded anywhere on the Internet as well as Groups, Blogs and a slew of search and match features based on your answers.

ANDROID – TG1 (The iPhone Terminator)

I would like to first apologize for being M.I.A. for a few weeks. Besides the Stock Market crash and digging wholes in my backyard to hide the dead bodies and the dirty money, I have been knee deep in securing a stable economic lifestyle. Yes everyone, I have officially joined the Jamaican Mafia.

So besides that, I think I have found a new love. It is called the T-Mobile G1. It is a mix between the iPhone and the SideKick.

If you don’t know by now, Google has finally made a deal with T-mobile to release its long awaited ANDROID

ANDRIOD, originaly developed by Google and later by the Open Handset Alliance is a operating sysytem / software platform for mobile devices. In simple terms it is a free mobile platform open to developers, similar to Mozilla’s FireFox.

So let’s start of a little different from the rest of the bunch. T-mobile G1’s phone won't do video capture (say what?), but there is a free player available to download, will not have stereo Bluetooth, will require a Gmail account, and won't be sold at stores outside of a 2-5 mile radius of T-Mobile's 3G coverage areas. (source)

Never the less I am still buying this phone. I live in Los Angeles and we have the 3G networks, plus I am one of the many L.A. residence who still talks on the speaker phone while driving, blame my inablility to change on CW’s Gossip Girl. (Hey, when is Hollywood going to change the paper bag rule? Ahh, that is a topic for another blogger.)

This chart wich is an introduction to Android that is featured on YouTube illustrates the number of internet users in orange, and the the number of mobile phone users in blue. In 2007 there is about 1.1 billion internet users in the world, but there is three times (3 x) the amount of mobile users. This means that the average person has 2 if not more mobile devices in their possession. (One for work, one for personal businesses)

Android's co-founders who went to work at Google included Andy Rubin (co-founder of Danger) - Yep! Danger is the same company who makes T-mobile SideKick, and Nick Sears (once VP at T-Mobile). So who would of ever thought T-mobile would secure the first ANDRIOD mobile device. WOW! It really looks like a DANGE Sidekick device! AMAZING!!!!! Thanks Andy and Nick.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that the T-Mobile G1 can be unlocked after 90 days of activation. You will be able to place another sims in it. Also users will be able to create tethering or unlocking apps for the phones, Sweet! Oh that is not all folks, you can also buy a “contract free" G1 (with a price point of $399). I bet even the Craigslist Cartail can’t beat that. (I know they can but still, that is a low price)

This is just the beginning from Googles ANDRIOD, so please expect more.

Nano = Music + Games + Photos + Movies + motion

Steve Jobs and his gang did it again. The iPod Nano is slimmer and sexier than ever. I am so stuned for words that I've decided to just show you some sexy photos of the new nano.

(Only Barry White can express what I feel about this)

Barry White - I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More, Baby lyrics

– Awww yeah baby! Oh, what a groove

You have no idea how it feels

My hands just won’t keep still

I love you, baby

Oh, I love you, I love you, I love you

I just wanna hold you

Outta sight

Uh-huh, right there, you like it like that

Come here, closer, close

Oh, baby

Oh, baby

Give it up, ain't no use
I can help myself if I'd wanted to
I'm hung up, no doubt
I’m so in love with you, for me there’s no way out

I'm gonna love you, love you
Love you just a little more, baby
I'm gonna need you, need you
Need you every day
I'm gonna want you, want you
Want you in every way

Google Chrome, oops I meant Google FAIL

So recently Google launched a search application which they call "Chrome" an open-source browser project based on existing Webkit ( rendering engine. Well let me get straight to the point, the browser sucks balls. Besides the inability to download many needed applications, even people with disabilities can't use this crap:

  • Limited support for keyboard input
  • No support Windows high contrast mode
  • Lack of programmatic clues for interface elements
  • Information describing links or focused elements not interpreted by screen readers
So boo on Google for letting a weak product like this get media and press. You all can rip this one out the technology history book.

Are you an online shopaholic, or just need to find a general gift and don't know where to start. Maybe you have a wedding that you are attending or a High School class reunion in which you need to impress everyone with that stylish new look you have. Or maybe you're like me, and always need that new gizmo or thingamajig, like a 60 inch HD Bluetooth Flat screen TV, or a WowWee Tribot Talking Robot, or a USB Wireless Retro Microphone, or even shyt that's not sold in the U.S. or Canada. If that is you, or sounds like you, or just not even you, then check out ( is Meta taged – "A place for you to explore great product recommendations, get personalized shopping suggestions and rave about products you like." For me, it's the easiest way to find something when you really don't know what you are looking for. People (bloggers, Public Relation firms, viral marketers, companies, your mother, your grandpa, your twelve year old brother, and your roommate) search for products, recommend products, comment on other people recommendations, share it, and link it to where you can purchase it (or at least find more information on it.)

Yeah you could go Google a product like a BCBG dress size 1 fits all, but you can't ask Google what product you should buy. If you go to a store you know that the sales person is going to say it looks hot on you, or that it's the best price in town. Forget all that mess and lies.

Things you will find on ThisNext

  • Obama Sneaker

  • Seven Deadly Sins Gift Set
  • A BMW X6 Series for $63K or 34,500 in UK Pounds (F.Y.I. the American dollar is so weak - 1 UK Pound = $1.82 American Dollar)
  • Voodoo doll toothpick holder
  • (Pretty much every damn thing)

The site of course also allows you to create a simple profile, but the coolest part is that you can share your recommendation or something you found with friends via email, facebook, MySpace, (ah! you get the picture). No more wack gifts from your friends. Just send them the link or share it on Facebook or twitter.

If you are a fashion, gaming, music, sporting, or gadget blogger then this site is more for you then you might think. ThisNext also supports mavens of fashionistas and Toy fanatics and much more with their Maven program which allows the sites most influential members to have bragging rights by gaining product sneak-peaks, exclusive offers, and even VIP event invitations.

So read what people say about the product before you purchase. And make sure when you join that you add me as a friend.

P.S. I need a new cool watch.
